BEFORE & AFTER

I'm finally getting around to posting some more pictures of our venue. When I tell people it used to be a cow pasture I don't think they really believe me. So here are the "BEFORE" & "AFTER" pictures to prove it. It's come a looooong way in just 1 year!

VANDERBECK VALLEY FARM GRAND OPENING

Our grand opening BBQ today was great! Lots of food, friends & fun! I was too busy talking (that's a shock isn't it?) to get very many pictures, so I only took 3. We started out with a gloomy-looking cloudy day & ended up with beautiful sunshine. A special thank you to Larry & Marilyn Ross for bringing, shucking & cooking the fresh corn on the cob! YUM! And of course to all our friends who brought food & loaned us tables & chairs. It was a great end to an eventful summer!

Mike & I couldn't have done any of this without our "CREW", otherwise known as our family. Our kids...Chad, Chloe, Wil & Madilyn worked hard all summer long. They put in long hours & worked right alongside us, sometimes in 100+ degree weather, to make our event area possible. We never heard one complaint!

Even my parents, who are also our neighbors, were very supportive & pitched in to help. My mom helps me with watering plants AND she is the official swing tester!

My dad is our chauffeur and takes his job very seriously. He had the honor of driving the bride, Kimmy, from our house to the ceremony site in his 1931 Model A. He beeped his "borrowed" horn (that's another story) the whole way! They made a grand entrance!

We are very proud of what we have accomplished. Not only did we turn an ugly cow pasture into something very beautiful for us & others to enjoy, but we worked together as a family!

AUGUST 1, 2009 Stadeli-McClaskey Wedding

Finally after a year of determination, hard work & even some blood, sweat & tears, the big day has arrived. Kimmy & Billy's wedding! Our first event at our new special events venue. The bride looked like a princess from a fairy tale, the groom just looked anxious & ready to tie the knot! Since this was our first event, we were kind of flying by the seat of our pants not knowing what to expect. After some tense moments with the parking situation, everything got underway & the ceremony was absolutely beautiful. The reception was filled with great music, outstanding food & shall we say LOTS of beverages. We received many positive comments about all the work that went into turning this once ugly cow pasture into a place where a couple would want to start their life together. Hopefully soon I will have a website & brochures to advertise our venue & clients will be able to contact us.
